The village of Penmachno has a warm and friendly pub. A lively folk evening is held first Wednesday of every month and visitors are very welcome to contribute. With in the valley there is pony trekking, mountain bike riding (& bike hire) and for the more sedate beautiful walks and hikes.
Tesco and Asda deliver to LL24 0AQ. Alternatively Betws-y-Coed has a Spar and Londis, Llanrwst has a Co-op supermarket, Porthmadog has a Tesco and all the large chains can be found in Llandudno.
The Conwy Falls cafe at the junction with the A5 provides excellent wholesome food. The Silver fountain Pub is just down the A5 beyond Conwy Falls before you reach Betws. It also does good food and drinks. Just 15 minutes from the cottage is the infamous walkers pub of the Tyn-y-Coed with great local beers and curry.
Betws-y-Coed is a delightful village four miles from Penmachno and has an abundance of Pubs, Hotels, Swimming pool, Shops and outdoor pursuits retailers. Llanrwst sits just a couple of miles further away and includes a supermarket and swimming pool.
